One of the first things that most people learn about me is that I was born and raised in rural Louisiana. It doesn’t take long for my roots to show. Being from the deep south, I was raised with many southern traditions like everything is either handmade or homemade. My grandmother was a big believer in that mantra. Some of my fondest memories were spent in her sewing room learning to sew.
During my college years, I met my loving and supportive husband. That was almost 20 years ago. He is a first generation American whose parents immigrated from India in the ’70s. We have been married now for 16 years and have 2 beautiful children. His job has brought us to North Carolina, and that is the place that we now call home.
In 2019, I decided to start blogging. I hope to share tips and tricks about the everyday life of a wife and mother who loves to sew. I will try to pass along some of my families “do it yourself” mentality! Although I no longer live in Louisiana, I will always be a southern girl at heart!
