After my daughter was diagnosed with Celiac Disease earlier this year, we had to completely change the way we ate. My daughter now has a major dietary restriction of eating zero gluten, and it really affected the entire family. We had to read every label and make sure that we did not inadvertently cross contaminate her food. She adapted amazingly to the change. Her only request was to find delicious baked goods (which was a real struggle). A friend of my mother-in-law, who has been living with Celiac for years, gave us an amazing cookbook. “Baked Doughnuts for everyone” became our go to baking book. These recipes make the best gluten free baked doughnuts that I have ever eaten! I feel obligated to share this book with others. This post contains affiliate links and sponsored content.
First you need to gather your supplies. Here is a supply list to make the best gluten free baked doughnuts. Also, grab a buddy! I prefer to make them with my 12 year old daughter!
Supply List
- Baked Doughnuts for Everyone by Ashley Mclaughlin
- Wilton Baking Pans
- 3 Flours that are in all the recipes (we have tried different brands, but these are my favorites)
- Once you own the book, Ashely also gives you resources for every ingredient in the book. I use ones that are slightly different.
Wilton Doughnut Baking Pans
This is the mini baking pan. Each recipe will make exactly 12 mini doughnuts. There are also additional resources for where to buy other pans listed in the book. You can make different shapes and sizes.
3 Essential Flours for Gluten Free Baked Doughnuts
All the doughnuts from this book utilize the same 3 flours….
First, Mochiko Sweet Rice Flour – I have been unable to find this in my local stores. If any knows who carries it, please let a comment at the bottom.
Second, Arrowhead Mills Oat Flour – I am able to find this ingredient locally at Whole Foods and other local groceries.
Third, Barney Almond Meal – I have also found this item locally. Just make sure to buy the meal and not the flour.
Here are a few of the top ingredients needed to make these delicious gluten free baked doughnuts. Once you have all the ingredients, I’m sure that you will love them as much as we do!
