Recovered Car Seat using Tutorial

Like most new parents, all of my daughters’ stuff had to be girly and new and beautiful. Her car seat cover was a sweet pink and brown with a cherry blossom pattern. When I had my second child, which was a boy, I really didn’t want to spend the money to invest in a new car seat. I thought, maybe he should ride around in a pink car seat. Why spend money on a new seat when I have a perfectly good one, right?

Well, I started thinking about doing something crazy…. Why don’t I just recover the car seat. Recovered infant car seat? Is that a thing? And then I completely panicked and started thinking that this is truly crazy and most likely I will ruin the seat. But I pressed on. I started looking for tutorials, but I couldn’t find anything useful. In the end, I decided to just go for it! As I started taking apart the seat, I realized that this is not a huge challenge. I was also taking pictures along the way to make sure I new how to put the seat back together. I thought to myself that this would be incredibly useful to others who had the same nervous experience I did. This is how the recovered car seat tutorial was born! I sold the tutorial in my Etsy shop for years because I didn’t have a blog. Now, since I have a platform to offer it for free, I decided to share it.
